The Cape Cod Tufts Club was honored to have as their 2019 Annual Meeting guest, Dr. David Kaplan, Professor and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tufts. His presentation, entitled Uncovering the Cure: A Conversation on Degenerative Brain Disease Treatments, provided fascinating insights (in language and concepts geared to the lay audience) into Dr. Kaplan’s ongoing research in the field of regenerative medicine, used to study diseases associated with the brain, intestine, kidney, obesity, diabetes and cancer.
Dr. Kaplan also provided the guests with an update on the happenings around the University, including the new Green Line Station that will be nearby the campus, the new Cummings building, cooperative housing units, and the success of so many athletic teams and the growing Museum of Fine Arts Programs.
