Diving into the Deep with Alvin

The CCTC Spring Luncheon on April 15 at the Flying Bridge Restaurant featured a presentation by Lane Abrams, Lead Electrical Engineer of the Alvin Program and Senior Engineer at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution entitled “Diving into the Deep with Alvin”. Lane’s presentation discussed not only the science that Human Occupied Vehicle (HOV) Alvin performs, but the equipment and engineering of the vehicle itself.

Cape Cod Museum of Art Tour and Lunch

Tufts club members met October 14th for a private docent led tour of the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis followed by an elegant private lunch at Encore Bistro and Bar, located on the museum grounds. Exhibitions included Jack Coughlin’s Themes and Variations and the Cape Cod Open Sculptural Invitational (CCOSI), the result of a partnership between the CCMoA and the New England Sculptors Association.
