(Event postponed due to Covid concerns)
The Cape Cod Tufts Club cordially invites alums, parents, and friends of Tufts to their annual October luncheon! Please join us on Saturday, October 16 at 11:30 AM at the Doubletree by Hilton, 287 Iyannough Rd., Hyannis, MA 02601 for a fascinating program featuring retired judge Gregory Williams. Judge Williams presentation is entitled CSI Fall River: The State of Crime-Scene Investigation in 1892. He will provide an inside look into one of the most perplexing crimes in history, the Lizzie Borden murder case, that still have experts scratching their heads today.
The Borden killings that took place in 1892 in Fall River offer a chance to consider crime-scene investigation in the latter 19th century concentrating on fingerprints, crime-scene photography, and bloodstain pattern analysis. This is one event you won’t want to miss.
About Judge Gregory Williams: Gregory Williams was a District Court judge for 15 years, retiring in 2015—for his last ten years, he was First Justice of the Edgartown District Court. He holds degrees from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College); Queen Mary College, University of London and Washington and Lee University School of Law. He talks on such topics as Massachusetts historical crimes, notable Cape figures such as William Sturgis, and the romantic-macabre. He has served on several Cape non-profit boards, and is the immediate past-president of that of the Sturgis Library. His Facebook page, Gregory Williams Speaks, continues to note his scheduled events, but since Covid also offers peeks at odd bits of history and music.
